We conducted our first (of a few?!) willow-weaving workshop, facilitated by our skilled trainer Deb Jones. Twenty-two participants learnt this craft, each successfully creating and taking home a garden obelisk suitable for supporting climbing plants. The event was further enhanced by a well-catered lunch and a selection of energising refreshments, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.

Looking ahead, we’re buzzing with excitement for more willow workshops. Plans are being made for possible basket-making sessions, Christmas decorations, and even sculptural projects, so keep an eye out for dates and details. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a beginner, there’ll be something for everyone. Keep an eye on our Events page.
Meanwhile, the garden is bursting with colour. The daffodils are filling the beds with bright yellow, and the pear and damson trees planted last December are beginning to bud. It’s a lovely sight that promises so much ahead. Now that the park is drier, the garden is well worth a visit.
