Spring Highlights
We conducted our first (of a few?!) willow-weaving workshop, facilitated by our skilled trainer Deb Jones . Twenty-two participants learnt this craft, each successfully creating and taking home a garden obelisk suitable for supporting climbing plants. The event was further enhanced by a well-catered lunch and a selection of energising refreshments, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees. Winter
Winter has been a busy period for planting at the community garden, and it is an ideal time to plant fruit trees when they are dormant, as it allows them time to settle in. We’ve added two types of damsons— a bush St Julien and a Farleigh—alongside an Asian pear (20th Century) and a classic English pear (Beth).
