Creating wildlife habitats in the garden
Sunday 15th May 10.30am-1pm
We will be making bee hotels, hoverfly lagoons and earwig houses. This session will be educating children and adults about which bees live in bee hotels and how they benefit the garden, who are the hoverflies and what are hoverfly lagoons and why earwigs are so beneficial to the garden.
Learning about ponds
Sunday 12th June 10.30am-1pm
We will be installing three small ponds onsite so this session will be for children and adults to learn about who lives in ponds and how they benefit wildlife? As well as the ponds we will be creating habitats for frogs, toads and newts who live in woodpiles and under stones for much of their lives.
What can you harvest from the garden
Sunday 10th July 10.30am-1pm
This is a session to get to know the plants and for children and adults to learn about what you can harvest from the garden. We will be creating labels for the plants, harvesting from them and making teas to drink.
