Chilean Guavas and Station Beds
We’ve planted two Chilean Guavas in the brick beds by Northwick Park Pavilion and plan to introduce more plants to create beneficial planting guilds. The tulip bulbs we added in November 2024 are thriving, and the green manure crops (mustard seed and phacelia) are beginning to sprout. Please be kind enough to bring a water bottle with you on your walks to help establish these plants, as they require regular watering until established.

At Northwick Park station, the cherry tree and tulips are in full bloom. We completed a hard pruning of the large rose, creating light and space around it.
We’re gradually managing the tall plants in this bed and are grateful to a volunteer who kindly provided her garden waste bin to help us remove debris.
5th Annual General Meeting and Seed Swap
On March 25th, we celebrated our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Seed Swap at the Windermere Pub in South Kenton.
A special thanks goes to Franchi Seeds of Italy for their generous donation of seeds.
We hope that a few of the new plants will contribute to our upcoming plant sale, enhance our community garden, or flourish in our raised beds.
During the AGM, we were treated to a fantastic slideshow created by Iris, celebrating our achievements over the past year.
It was a heartwarming reminder of the progress we’ve made together and the vibrant community we’ve built.
We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming Permaculture Design Certificate program, led by graduates from the 2022 Permaculture Design Course. This initiative will equip our community with valuable knowledge and skills to promote sustainable gardening practices.
